I Married My Father!

Hi Stephen, I'm writing to thank you for showing such tolerance and understanding towards incest. In this world so full of anger and prejudice, it is a welcome relief to read your words.

Here is a photo of me getting married to the man I love most in this world. (Feel free to put it up on your website if you feel it would help.) I have been living with him all my life, because I'm his daughter, but I wanted to have a wedding ceremony because I just couldn't bear the thought of not belonging to him for the rest of my life, as his wife.

My father has always treated me with respect and appreciation and love. His behaviour towards me has always inspired nothing but love and devotion in me. Yet people call his love for me "abuse" just because he is my Dad. What a crazy, mixed-up world this is!

Mariska Veres has died.

It's very sad to hear that on Saturday, Dec 2nd 2006, Mariska Veres died of cancer. She was a genuine diva, such a great singer. I have a collection of lots of her songs and I play them often.

The Hague (ANTARA News) - Mariska Veres, singer for the Dutch group Shocking Blue who had a worldwide hit with their song "Venus" in 1970, died Saturday aged 59, Dutch media reported.

Veres died from cancer. In 1970 "Venus" reached the top of the American music charts but Shocking Blue did not have any other success that matched their big hit. The group split up in 1974.
